The first of the month and no poem

It is June 1st and I do not have a poem to post. School has taken up most of my time on the computer at home. I just submitted my final assignment for the class. It is over! Unfortunately, I am unable to continue taking classes right now. There is just too much going on with the girls that have moved in with us. I do think that I will be able to start up again in the fall. It is just that there is a lot of adjustment going on right now.

It was a mixed experience taking that class. I usually tend to only read novels and memoirs but with this class, I had to read text books. I actually enjoyed that part. The part that I didn't like was reading my classmate's assignments. That seemed like a waste of time. I think the institution thinks that it is important to simulate a classroom learning environment, but I think it is unnecessary. It would be fine with me if the only person I interacted with was the professor.

Mikayla is home for the summer. Lucky me: she is working full time at my work. I get to see her all day. Since Ben has her car, we carpool together and that is really nice, also. She is just a joy to be around. She is the most positive person I know.

Our house is full these days, with the Sara, Michelle and Mikayla, but I love it that way. Actually, Sara is rarely here, since she is older and has a life of her own.

There is a poem niggling its way into my consciousness, so I will try to trap it and develop it. Hopefully, it will make its way here before long.
