I think news is entertainment, it is not news, and it is all about $$$$. the audience is impressed by Brittany because of her $$ and celebrity. They also have so much airtime they have to fill it. Could Newtie really ever run for president - wasn't he addicted to drugs at some point? And why is this election showmanship happening already? It is a big waste of time and money, and just an airspace filler. that's what I think. M
