It is a sad day for me. This morning I had to take Mikayla to the airport to start her spring semester. This time we left on time so that I could park and walk her in. I helped her wheel one of her suitcases and stood by as she checked in. I watched behind the barrier as she managed the get-through-security dance. She looked so confident and sure of herself, so grown up. She is a seasoned and resourceful traveler.
Last week Mikayla flew to Ohio and had a challenging time trying to get back to the airport. She wrote about it on her blog: www.miksmessages.blogspot.com. Read it and you will see what I mean by her being resourceful. And you may get an idea of why I am missing having someone like her around.
